Take a Ranger led tour of this coastal country park, sessions are flexible 1 – 2 hrs looking at the seashore and woodland environment.

The full 2hr tour starts with a beach themed handling session where pupils get to see, smell, touch and learn about seashore life as well as the rocks and fossils found along this section of the coast. This is followed by a walk around the parks woodland area, learning about the woodland habitat and wildlife, which include red squirrels, dormice and bats. Pupils also learn about how the Islands woodlands are different to those on the mainland. We then head down to the rocky beach where pupils enjoy a shoreline rummage, looking for some of the things they saw earlier and being encouraged to search out seashore and rockpool life.
